Hello,
I'm selling my paragliding set-up. It consists of the following items:
- Advance Alpha 6 Wing. Class A wing. Size 31. Lime color.
- Advance Success 3 Harness. Size L.
- Advance Comfort Pack 2 rucksack
- Advance Cover Bag
- Reserve
- Gin fast packing stuff sack
The wing and harness have been flown once, for approximately 20 minutes. I bought all this equipment on the day that I earned my P2 certification. I got one sunset flight in with my instructor, packed up my gear, drove home, and never used any of it again.
Yes, I'm that guy, sadly.
I took my paragliding lessons and earned my P2 through Chris Santacroce, of Super Fly Paragliding, at the Point of the Mountain in Draper, Utah. My training was conducted using his equipment. I ordered my own equipment and took delivery of it on the day that I got my P2. Chris helped me unbox everything, get into the harness, hook up to the wing, and take one evening flight.
Since then, all of this equipment has been stored very carefully in my guest bedroom in my home. It has never seen any type of moisture, any direct sunlight (aside from its one and only flight), any temperature extremes, any pests like bugs or mice, etc. I am paranoid about caring for gear, and therefore kept all of this sitting on top of a made bed in my guest room. Not shoved in the bottom of a crowded closet, or on a shelf in a musty garage, or outside under a carport, or whatever. It's all been carefully sequestered in my guest bedroom. The ruck sack and cover bag still have their tags on them.
I kept it all until now, thinking that eventually I'd get motivated enough to jump back into paragliding, but sadly that hasn't happened. I'm now at the point that I feel my skills are too rusty to be safe. I just haven't flown enough to jump back in without another round of lessons, and I recognize that that likely isn't going to happen. So rather than keeping this gear sitting on my guest bed, I'm hoping to sell it to someone who will make better use of it.
Asking price is a flat $3000 for everything.
I live in Joplin, MO and would be shipping from there.
If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thanks for looking, and happy flying!
