Parajet Maverick with the MY19 Atom80 engine. Purchased new from Aviator PPG in July 2019. ~38 hrs of operation, all with tach/meter installed.
Comes with original 2-blade Helix 125cm prop, and an additional 3-blade E-Prop 125cm which is brand new and never been installed. Upgraded to Air Conception throttle and stronger carabiners. Replaced the primer bulb with the updated one under warranty, and added a zip-tie "pull loop" for the spark plug as an added safety measure in case the kill switch ever fails in flight.
I'm the only owner, and have always taken extremely good care of this unit. Never crashed, dropped, or butt landed, always stored in a protected environment; the frame is like new with no damage whatsoever. I did the break-in per the manual and have run Motul 800 at 66:1 mix ever since. I've only used 93 octane fuel with no ethanol, fresh fuel mix only (no old mix).
At 32 hours I swapped the plug, cleaned the carb (filter screen was clean and membrane was good), and inspected the piston for carbon. No wear on the pull start, no other issues. Starts right up.
Also included: Atom80 "handy box" from Vittorazi which has all the gaskets, carb rebuild parts, engine mounts, pull start cord and other parts needed for maintenance.
One maintenance item needed: The shaft seal on the gear reduction drive leaks oil during operation, which gets onto the bottom of the engine and on the prop; will need to take the gear drive apart to replace the seal. I have just been flying it and cleaning it off and making sure the gear oil is topped off, but it's annoying and I've been meaning to fix it. I have the replacement seal and a bottle of new gear oil, and will get around to fixing one of these days - when I do fix it I will raise the price accordingly.
Recently it has developed a "light spot" on the muffler where the black anodized coating has faded to a lighter brownish color (see pics). I have been told by the dealer and Vittorazi that this is purely cosmetic and does not indicate a failure, but they offered to send a replacement muffler if needed (under warranty).
I love this setup and really don't want to sell, but I bought a Scout so I could do more acro and less XC. The Maverick is a very elegantly designed and ergonomic frame, and the Atom80 is smooth, quiet, and gets great fuel economy.
