When you click "Buy", you are able to message the seller to discuss the transaction. You are only charged when the order is accepted. If you see the following icons, you'll know the seller has added their payment information correctly.
When you buy something on WingStall.com, the money is not transferred to the seller until you are happy with your purchase. If there is a problem with your order, WingStall.com can act impartially and resolve the issue without the need for a lengthy dispute process.
A free account is required to create a listing. Enter the price, currency, shipping options, description, photos and its location. Alternatively, if you're already selling it online somewhere else, you can click "Import" and follow the instructions. You will receive an email if there is activity or if it is sold.
You can add multiple shipping options/prices, for example; France €20, EU €40, USA/CAD €80. Alternatively, you can write "Contact me for a price" and edit the shipping price once you have found a buyer. This is an example of how it could look for the buyer:
You must send the parcel with full insurance, tracking and signature options. Please message the buyer with the tracking number. It's also useful to write the buyer's phone number on the parcel to help with delivery. If the parcel goes missing you will need to file a claim directly with the shipping company.
If you use our built-in payment and escrow service (optional), we charge a flat 10% commission on sales. This fee covers all the payment processing, escrow service and website costs and is taken from the money that is transferred to the seller once a transaction is complete. If you want the buyer to pay this fee, please increase the listing price accordingly (+10% for example).

We strongly recommend using our built-in payment system. It is specifically designed to protect both buyer and seller from nasty surprises. Please also perform your own due diligence. For example: ask questions about the seller, their wing and the reason for its sale. Consider using a credit card for added payment protection. Before you send a parcel, check that the buyer has given you their personal address and a phone number for the package.
Our team review all listings and remove any that are suspicious and/or violate our community rules (see below).
1. Respect all other members and do not send spam, offensive, or threatening messages, leave comments, or engage in any other form of offensive communication.
2. Only create listings for equipment you own, are authorized to sell, and is in safe condition to use.
4. This is a third-party international marketplace and by using it, you must also comply with any and all local laws, regulations and safety measures that are applicable to you.
5. We do not allow contact information on listings and/or in images that are added to listings. This includes emails, phone numbers & social media info.
6. Do not create duplicate listings.
7. For the safety and security of our community, we do not allow contact information to be sent through our messaging service prior to an intended purchase. Sending messages containing your personal information, contact information, or taking transactions off our platform is against our policies and can result in being removed from our community.
8. Make sure listings are closed when the item is no longer available. Old listings (+ 1 year) may be closed if they are not updated. You will receive a message if this happens, and can reopen the listing if you need to.

▶ What are the fees?
There are no fees to browse the site, buy something or even post a listing. If you sell something through the site using our built-in payment system (optional), we take a 10% fee. If you would prefer the buyer to pay the fees, you should list your item around 10% more expensive to take this into account. Ours fees help pay for the site management and payment processing costs.
▶ How much is my gear worth?
This is a very difficult question to answer as the value of equipment depends on too many factors; age, flight hours, type of flights, SIV, dunes, recent check etc. Therefore the best advice is to sell something for a price you are happy with. If you are not sure that it is correctly priced, you can mention in the advert that you are open to offers.
▶ How can I import a listing from Facebook Marketplace or Paragliding Forum?
Click "Post a new listing" and then "Selling" followed by "Click here to import it". Alternatively click here:
You'll need to simply paste the website URL address and click import. It takes a few hours and you'll receive a message once it is finished.
▶ I've sold my gear, when do I get paid?
Once you have accepted the transaction request, the money is held safely by us until the buyer receives their goods and marks the transaction as completed. If they fail to do this within 7 days, the order is automatically completed and the money will be transferred to you. If a problem is encountered, we will step in and help find a resolution.
▶ How should I send the goods?
Of course the gear must be packaged very safely with lots of padding. You must send everything registered and pay for full insurance. It is helpful to also get the buyers phone number and write it on the parcel. Please inform the buyer of the tracking number too, so they can follow the delivery status. If the parcel does not arrive, or is damaged in transit, the seller will be responsible for filing an insurance claim with the postal company.
▶ I want to buy a wing, how should I go about it?
It's important to start by messaging the seller with any questions - for example you could ask for a copy of the latest check or a close up photo of the fabric. If shipping is not specified on the advert you will need to ask the seller for a quote. Once you are ready to buy, please use our built-in payment system, powered by Stripe. Click "Buy" and follow the instructions. Your card will only be charged if the seller accepts your order request. They have 3 days to respond, otherwise the order is cancelled and your card will not be charged.
▶ Sellers are ignoring my messages, what can I do?
Some messages do end up in spam folders unfortunately. Please contact us (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we will make direct contact with the seller to find out what's going on. If a seller repeatedly ignores messages we will remove their listing(s) from the site.
▶ Do I have to use your payment system?
No. However we strongly advise you to use our payment system. It will improve the chance of a successful sale and help protect you from fraud at the same time. You'll also be able to receive feedback and benefit from building a trustworthy reputation in our community.
▶ How does the escrow system work?
When a sale is made using our online payment system, the money is held in escrow by our payment provider, Stripe. It is only released to the seller once the transaction is marked as completed by the buyer. If there is a problem, the buyer has 7 days to raise a dispute after receiving their item, failing which the money is transferred to the seller automatically. Our team can step in to help resolve disputes and facilitate refunds. We will ask for evidence of the following; honest and detailed item description with several photos, parcel safely wrapped and sent quickly, proof of insurance and tracking number available, clear explanation of the problem and desired solution. We reserve the right to reverse payments in full to the buyer if it is deemed fair. Likewise, we reserve the right to allow payments to be processed and sent to the seller in full, if necessary. With this in mind, for added payment protection, buyers are recommended to use a credit card that provides additional payment protection. Sellers are encouraged to vet potential buyers carefully and only agree to sell if they have full confidence in them.
▶ How can I get an invite code?

▶ Why do you need to verify me before I can join the site?
We decided to verify all members to keep the community safe from spammers and scammers. There are many ways to verify yourself including any one of the following: an established social media profile, a professional email address, a pilot license, a referral from a school or established member of the community. We usually only need one form of verification, however we reserve the right to ask for more if necessary.
